Our pharmacy is often the first point of call for advice and possible treatment options for women seeking relief for Urinary Tract Infections (often referred to as cystitis or bladder infection). Up until now women have had to be referred on to their General Practitioners for treatment particularly when an antibiotic is required. Most of our pharmacists have undertaken the approved training programme so they can now able to prescribe a three day course of trimethoprim 300mg tablets where appropriate.
